The CCSOC has its
roots in a group of Christians from several churches of various
denominations who were invited to help organize an evangelistic drama back
in 1999. The drama was very successful in two areas: many people
responded to the invitiation at the end of the drama, and the Christians
grew closer to each other and the Lord as they worked togther on
the project. Many "walls came down" as Christians realized
we have much more in common in our love for the Lord than we we
have in differences. Much was accomplished for God's Kingdom
when His people worked together! Thus began the vision for the CCSOC.
We then began "Bottled
Water" outreaches at the local founders day celebrations in
Stafford Twp. and Waretown. These outreaches involved handing
out hundreds of free ice-cold bottles of water, along
with Bibles and leaflets about Christ being the "living water"
for our lives and other scripture verses.
Since then the Lord
has been leading us in expanding our role and purpose- "to organize and
sponsor various activities involving the members of the Christ-centered
churches in the Southern Ocean County area, for the purpose of encouraging
fellowship amongst the body of Christ, and promoting evangelistic outreach
towards the community". This is our mission statement and our direction. We firmly believe that the Lord, through the pouring-out of His Holy
Spirit, is bringing His people together of all Christ-centered denominations to
fellowship, encourage each other, and spread the good news of the gospel
according to His word Hebrews 10:25.
Praise His Holy Name!

John
17: 20-23 "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that
all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May
they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I
in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world
know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."
Psalm 133:1-3 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
Ephesians 4:1-6:
- Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love,
being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;
one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12: Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
